Fertility preservation

Fertility preservation

The Spanish Fertility Society (SEF) defines fertility preservation as assisted reproduction techniques treatments where the goal is to achieve a pregnancy at a later point in time.

Patients may require these techniques to postpone parenthood for personal or medical reasons:

  • Oocytes cryopreservation: the treatment entails a specific hormone therapy to encourage the development of several follicles, after which we proceed to collect the eggs and cryopreserve them for later use.
  • Sperm freezing: It is normally recommended to patients that will undergo oncological therapies or other medical treatments that can have an impact on their sperm quality.

We inform our patients that our facilities scrupulously follow the Safety measures established by the directive of the Ministry of Health to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

Each patient undergoes a medical history, temperature control and a safety questionnaire.

We have additional safety mechanisms for hand disinfection and to maintain controlled access of people to our facilities and respect the safety distance among persons

The unique health situation we are experiencing these days leads us to advocate for prudence and social responsibility. IMER and the NEXTCLINICS group are taking all necessary measures to ensure the health of our patients and employees.
